Getting Information from the ShireAs a newcomer to the shire, the best way for you to get information on a regular basis is to sign up for some of the following communication resources.The Electronic Mailing ListThe Shire maintains an electronic mailing list which tends to be one of our main sources of communication within the group. It acts to to remind members of upcoming events and provides a medium for on-line discussions.To subscribe, see the List Web page. To manage your subscription, see the Hartshorn-dale Subscribers section of that Web page. Messages for the mailing list are sent to hartshorn-dale@swgroup.com. You must subscribe before you can send messages to the mailing list. If you need additional information, send a message with the word "help" as the "Subject" to hartshorn-dale-request@swgroup.com. If you encounter any problems, please contact the list manager: Arpad The NewsletterThe Hartshorn-dale Herald is the shire newsletter. It is genrally published monthly. It contains reportson what's happening in the Shire, articles by Shire members, as well as the schedule of upcoming events. It will soon be available through the main site. To subscribe contact the Chronicler or Exchequer for more information on subscribing.The DomesdayThe Shire of Hartshorn-dale Domesday is published every year and is a directory of the shire members. If you would like to be in the next Domesday, you can submit your information through our Domesday Information Form. Contact the Domesday Editor for more information.ThePikestaffThe Pikestaff is the official newsletter of the East Kingdom, of which the Shire of Hartshorn-dale is part of.This comes with Sustaining membership within the SCA itself. This is where event listings, general information specific to the East Kingdom and much more is published in hard copy. Much of this information can also be found on the offical East Kingdom website.Membership InfoYou are not required to purchase an SCA membership before attending SCA meetings and events, but it doesgive you benefits that you may like to have.
